St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School set out its development plans to a meeting of local people on 23rd of April.

The event was well attended by local residents and representatives of Redcliffe Futures.  Following a formal presentation and a question and answer session those present seemed impressed with the plans.

Paul Smith, Labour Candidate for Bristol West, said "A lot of thought has gone into thinking about how to integrate the building into the area and to make the school a community resource.  The architect is also seeking to ensure that the building is as 'green' as possible."

Paul is backing the school in its efforts to secure additional funding from the Government to maximise its environmental performance and he has written to Schools Minister Jim Knight.
