Paul Smith attended this year's Remembrance day including the march from the Council House to the Cenotaph. The service was attended by a large number of key people in Bristol including the
Bristol Labour MPs. Paul attended in his capacity as an Honorary Alderman of the City of Bristol. The Aldermen are shown in this Bristol Evening Post photograph, followed by Bristol
Councillors. The Bristol West Liberal Democrat MP was not present for the parade or the service.
Paul Smith said, "It is important that we remember the terrible toll of war. Lives are destroyed by the death and destruction that war brings. Remembrance day should bring home to
everyone the futility of armed conflict and force us to redouble our efforts to ensure that diplomacy becomes the only way to solve disputes."
